NSEC owns and cares for several horses that are used to help riders starting from 8 years old and up to develop their skills and experience in the equestrian world. Riders only need a helmet, boots and a love of horses to join our weekly public riding programs that run from September to June each year.

NSEC offers full service boarding for those who own their own horses and want to keep them close to home. We take pride in the level of care we offer to every horse and the services we provide for all our boarders. Turn out, stall cleaning, 4 feedings of hay and 2 feedings of grain are provided daily, as well as access to 2 covered arenas and 1 uncovered arena. Additionally we have two washracks with hot and cold water and lockers are provided in our heated locker rooms for tack storage.

Our head coaches can help set up a program that works best for each of our boarders or their leasers individual needs. Whether it be for training purposes, riding for fun, or preparing to compete, our experienced coaches will be able to find a suitable program to suit your needs.

Every winter break, spring break and during the months of July & August, NSEC offers week-long, partial day camps for riders age 7 years old and up. Camps aim to introduce new riders to horses, building their confidence and skills starting from the ground up in a safe and encouraging environment.

Our resident CANTRA certified coach offers one on one therapeutic lessons that aim to help those who struggle with mobility, balance and co-ordination build confidence and strength through riding. Therapeutic lessons may also help those on the spectrum connect and build bonds with our horses, helping with emotional regulation on an ongoing basis. NSEC is an official provider for the AFU, allowing us to bill straight to the funding unit once approved for services provided.

For our aspiring future riders, NSEC offers a unique opportunity to have their first horse experience through our individual play dates.

Starting at the age of 4 years old, little riders may schedule an appointment with one of our horses for a 30 minute session which includes grooming, saddling and a 10 minute hand-led ride with one of our experienced junior coaches.

Play Dates can be scheduled via email to our office with a minimum of 1-2 weeks notice of your preferred date.
